Earlier today, Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel ( President elect ) of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) accompanied by Elvis Adakabre ( local NUGS President ; UENR ) and Michealla Karikari ( local NUGS Secretary ; UENR ) paid a visit to the deceased family and Miracle Educational Academy.
At the deceased family’s house, the Team met with her mother and siblings as well as well wishers. The President and his team also made a donation of packs of bottled water and soft drinks to support them in this hard times.
Immediately from the family house of the deceased, the Team then proceeded to Miracle Educational Academy where we met with the school owner , headmaster and some staff of the school.
“We used the opportunity to call for calmness as well as the prevailing of cool heads. Compliance with security personnel on investigation into our sister’s death was also hammered on since its very crucial at this time”, the NUGS President said.
“We however continue to admonish the public not to take the laws into their hands but allow for a peaceful investigation process as tempers are currently high. The Union’s priority is to Champion Students interest and we are committed to liaising with authorities in all institutions across the Country to guarantee students welfare,” he added.
