Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, John Mahama’s running mate in the 2020 Presidential Election, has expressed condolences to the family of the 10-year-old boy who was allegedly murdered in Kasoa by two teenagers for money rituals.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang claimed on social media after mourning with the family in Kasoa that, despite being a mother and grandmother, he could not claim to fully comprehend the pain of the murdered child.
“I spent my morning in Amanfrom near Kasoa commiserating with the mother and family of the 10 year old who was gruesomely murdered allegedly by two teenagers.
This heinous episode necessitates a national soul-searching and an honest examination of our country’s course.
“Even as a mother and grandmother, I do not claim to fully comprehend what my fellow mother is going through at this time, except to give prayers and heartfelt condolences,” she wrote.
On behalf of former President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress, she made a GHS 10,000 donation to the family (NDC).

When it was discovered that two adolescents had murdered a 10-year-old boy in order to use his body parts in money rituals, the country was shocked.
The two have been arrested and will appear in court. Many have called for a ban on television advertising by spiritualists and juju men after the teenagers admitted that they approached the ritualist after seeing her advertisement.
The ritualist in question has been arrested and charged as well.
