Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the Majority Leader in Parliament, has stated that Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu is not as corrupt as the public believes.

There is a growing perception that Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu was compromised, resulting in the approval of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-nominees Addo’s for Ministerial positions.

This position became well-known after Sammy Gyamfi stated in a lengthy article that Haruna Iddrisu and other NDC members in Parliament are working for personal gain rather than the political party that sent them there.

In light of recent events, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress has also hinted at a change in the leadership of the Minority in Parliament.

However, in an interview with Accra-based Joy News monitored by iDO GH News Osei Kyei Mesah-Bonsu stated, “not that I am aware of.” Haruna is a tough guy. Haruna is one of their most valuable materials.”

Regarding the election of Alban Bagbin as Speaker of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu stated that he believes the first six votes counted were not for the person they claimed, namely the current Speaker, Alban Sumana Bagbin.
